YOUR FAVORITE T-SHIRT

A newspaper ad asking for favorite t-shirts was placed in newspapers throughout Vienna and Italy during the summer of 1998. 40 T-Shirts got exhibited along with personal objects, photographs and home videos to build an emotional relationship to the t-shirt’s owner.

The newspaper advertisement:
Bring us your favorite t-shirt along with any other show-and-tell objects that helps us understand why it’s your favorite. Small items such as photographs, home videos or other objects. We fully recognize that your shirt is valuable, and will sell them for 2000 Lire ($100), you will get 1500 ($75) Lire.
